Mariner's Mate Pouches

Mariner's Mate Pouches can be used for closets, heads, storage lockers, bilge areas, cupboards, sleeping areas, tackle boxes, bait and fish compartments.

Instructions: One pouch will treat approximately 80 square feet. Place pouch in desired location and enclose area to be treated by closing doors and windows. Allow a minimum of 24-48 hours for treatment. To re-charge the pouch (after several months), place pouch in the hot direct sun for 8 hours or outside in a dry place for one week.

Mariner’s Mate odour and Moisture Absorbing Granules prevents moisture build-up that causes mildew and musty smells during off-season storage. Mariner’s Mate Granules is useful year-round to eliminate all odours and moisture on board. May also be used to absorb spills on board.

Mariner’s Mate is a powerful desiccant. Mariner's Mate granules having an absorptive capacity of 16 g / 100 g. compared to silica gel (a commonly used desiccant) which has an absorptive capacity of 3 g of moisture/100 g. Thus, Mariner's Mate granules are over 5 times more effective.

Instructions: Pour Mariner's Mate granules into a shallow dish or container and place in affected areas for a minimum of 24 hours. During off-season storage, use several shallow dishes throughout the boat. Replace the granules every 2 - 3 months for maximum effectiveness. Place the saturated granules in the sun or fresh air to recharge and reuse.
